Beauty from within is a small but fast growing niche that also could serve to boost the skin microbiome trend. Cosmetics Design spoke to Stephen Daniells, editor-in-chief of NutraIngredients USA to find out more.

The beauty from within story has been long and protracted, with a big burst of enthusiasm about ten years ago that was met with a luke war reception from consumers.

But fast forward to now and with consumers more informed about the benefits of beauty from within supplements, it would appear that this is paving the way for microbiome-based supplements that target a range of skin care benefits.

During this video interview, Stephen Daniells, who is also consultant for the Probiota Americas events, highlights how the beauty from within trend has evolved in recent years, where it is at right now, and the direction he expects it to go in the coming years.
