Pharmaceutical company BASF has selected Alyson Emanuel as director of the Cosmetic Chemicals business unit of the company.
The appointment was announced by Hans-Juergen-Loose, group vice president, Nutrition and Cosmetics. Ms. Emanuel assumed her new position on November 1, 2000.
BASF provides a broad line of products for the cosmetic industry including polymers for hair and skin care, UV absorbers, solubilisers/ emulsifiers, active ingredients, vitamins and aroma chemicals.
The Cosmetics Chemicals unit operates production facilities in Geismar, Louisiana, and Ludwigshafen, Germany. BASF recently opened a new Technical Services Center in Roxbury, New Jersey.
