Novel cosmetic solutions to master teenager and adult acne
A cosmetic solution to improve the appearance of acne skin of adolescents and adults is presented. The potential efficacy is maximized through the combination of cosmetic ingredients that interfere with acne pathogenesis at different steps thereby addressing the enhanced beauty demands of adult skin including even skin tone. Signs of acne persist in adulthood with more women than men affected. The combination of STAY-C® 50, salicylic acid and Niacinamide PC works synergistically to improve the appearance of acne skin. Activities targeted at are the growth inhibition of P. acnes, desmolysis, generally, a reduction of inflammatory lesions. Both, Niacinamide PC and STAY-C® 50 by inhibiting the transfer of melanosomes to keratinocytes and inhibition of melanin synthesis, respectively lead to a more evenly toned skin as well. The same formulation requirements, all stable and well tolerated by skin allow the concept of a 24 hours anti-acne and anti-ageing beauty regimen.
