Price hike for Rhodia ingredients

Rhodia Perfumery, Performance & Agro (PPA) has increased the price - from five to ten per cent - for a large range of its products, the company announced recently.
This price restoration is necessitated by the continuing escalation in raw materials costs, especially petrochemicals and energy, and by the higher transportation costs due to the international context, Rhodia said in a statement.
Although Rhodia PPA has always tried to absorb the largest possible portion of costs related to its commitment to Sustainable Development, a partial offset of these costs and investments is necessary to overcome the economic pressure, the company continued.
Among the products that will be impacted by this selective price increases are diphenols and their derivatives, salicylic acid and its derivatives, flavour and fragrances ingredients, chlorophenols and diphenylethers and agrochemical aromatic intermediates.
